Governors Ball 2025, one of New York City’s most anticipated music festivals, faced unexpected disruptions on its second day as severe weather forced organizers to delay headliners and cancel several early sets.

The three-day event, held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park from June 6–8, kicked off Friday with high-energy performances from Tyler, The Creator, Benson Boone, T-Pain, Mk.gee, and more Despite a rainy forecast, fans arrived in droves, ready for the summer’s biggest acts.

Saturday, June, brought a twist: thunderstorms in the area led organizers to postpone the festival’s opening from noon to:30 p.m. Early sets by artists such as Lexa Gates, Yaya Bey, and The Backfires were canceled, while most other performances were pushed back by at least an hour Olivia Rodrigo, the day’s main headliner, was rescheduled from:30 p.m. to:25 p.m. Feid and Wave to Earth also had their set times shifted to later in the evening. Mariah the Scientist’s set was canceled last minute due to unforeseen circumstances, with little explanation provided to fans.

Despite the delays, the festival continued with strong performances from artists like Marina, Young Miko, Conan Gray, and Car Seat Headrest. Governors Ball 2025 is set to wrap up Sunday, June, with headline sets from Hozier, Mt. Joy, Clairo, Raye, and more.
