Lori Loughlin Ends 28-Year Marriage, Embraces Anne Heche's Ex Hours Before

Lori Loughlin, the once-beloved star of Full House and Fuller House, has quietly parted ways from her husband of nearly three decades, Mossimo Giannulli. The couple, who tied the knot in 1997, announced their separation through a representative on Thursday, confirming they've been living apart and taking a break from the marriage. No legal proceedings are underway just yet, but the news hits hard, especially given their shared history of scandal.

Indeed, Loughlin and Giannulli, a fashion designer, have two daughters together: Isabella Rose, now 27, and Olivia Jade, 26. Their family name exploded into headlines back in 2019 during the infamous college admissions bribery scheme, where both parents faced prison time—Loughlin served two months in 2020, while Giannulli did five. That mess strained things publicly, but they seemed to hold on. Until now, apparently.

However, the timing couldn't be more eyebrow-raising. Just the night before the split went public, on October 1, Loughlin was photographed outside the Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood, sharing a warm dinner and an embrace with actor James Tupper. Tupper, 59, is best known to many as the longtime partner of the late Anne Heche, with whom he shared a son, Atlas, now 16. Heche and Tupper dated from 2007 until 2018; she tragically died in a car crash in August 2022 at age 53.

Loughlin and Tupper aren't strangers—they co-starred in two 2023 Great American Family holiday films, "A Christmas Blessing" and "Fall Into Winter." A rep for Loughlin insists they're just old friends and former colleagues catching up. Still, the optics of that hug, right on the eve of her marriage unraveling, have fueled speculation. Was it a friendly shoulder to lean on, or something more? The actress, 61, looked composed in photos, dressed casually chic, while Tupper appeared supportive.

Moreover, this development comes as Loughlin rebuilds her career post-scandal, sticking mostly to family-friendly TV movies. Giannulli, 62, has kept a lower profile since his release. The pair's joint statement emphasizes an amicable split, focused on their daughters. But in Hollywood, where personal lives bleed into public scrutiny, one can't help but wonder how these connections might reshape her next chapter.
