Ole Miss softball’s historic 2025 season came to a dramatic close after a heart-stopping 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Oregon Ducks in the Women’s College World Series elimination game on Friday night The Rebels rallied from a three-run deficit in the seventh inning, forcing extras and keeping their championship hopes alive until the very last moments.
The game, held at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, stretched nearly four hours and saw both teams trading leads. Ole Miss tied the game in the seventh and pushed Oregon to the brink, but in the bottom of the 10th, a bases-loaded walk to Oregon’s Kedre Luschar brought home the winning run, sealing the Rebels’ fate.
