Fever Stumble Without Clark—What Went Wrong Against the Dream?

The Indiana Fever struggled on the road Tuesday night, falling 77-58 to the Atlanta Dream as star rookie Caitlin Clark missed her fifth consecutive game with a quad injury. The Fever, now 2-3 without Clark, failed to find offensive rhythm and were outscored in every quarter except the second.

Allisha Gray led the Dream with 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting, while Brionna Jones added a double-double with 21 points and rebounds. Atlanta dominated the boards, outrebounding Indiana 44-27 and holding the Fever to just 36% shooting from the field.

Natasha Howard paced Indiana with points and rebounds, but the Fever’s offense sputtered, managing only nine points in the third quarter and shooting just.8% from beyond the arc. Aliyah Boston contributed seven points, five assists, and four rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.

The Fever will look to regroup as they await Clark’s return, while the Dream continue to climb the standings with a strong team effort and stifling defense.
