The 2025 Pop-Tarts Bowl: A Clash of Titans

As the college football season reaches its thrilling conclusion, all eyes are on the 2025 Pop-Tarts Bowl, set to take place on December 27, 2025, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. This 36th edition of the bowl game promises to be a highly anticipated matchup between two formidable teams, No. 12 BYU and No. 22 Georgia Tech, making it the third game to bear the Pop-Tarts name.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl, also known as "The People's National Championship," has a rich history, having been played in Orlando for 25 years. The bowl game has seen various interesting matchups, but the 2025 edition is particularly intriguing as it features a clash between two teams with contrasting styles and rich pedigrees.

No. 12 BYU, which finished the regular season with an impressive 11-2 record, is making its first appearance in the Pop-Tarts Bowl but has a storied history in bowl games, having played in the Citrus Bowl in 1976 and 1985. The Cougars are known for their high-powered offense and strong defensive line, which makes them a formidable opponent on the field.

On the other side, No. 22 Georgia Tech brings a 9-3 record to the table, finishing in a five-way tie for second place in the ACC. Despite missing the conference championship game due to tiebreaker rules, the Yellow Jackets have shown resilience and determination throughout the season. Their option offense, known for its speed and unpredictability, will provide a unique challenge for the Cougars.

This matchup marks the fifth all-time meeting between BYU and Georgia Tech, with the last encounter taking place in 2013. BYU has won three of the four previous meetings, giving them a slight edge in the series. However, Georgia Tech's innovative offense and BYU's defensive prowess ensure that this game will be closely contested.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast nationally on ABC, providing fans with an exciting opportunity to watch this clash of titans. The Pop-Tarts Bowl has quickly become one of the most interesting events in college football, and this year's edition is no exception. With both teams hungry for victory, fans can expect a thrilling display of skill, strategy, and determination on the field.
