LSU baseball fans were on the edge of their seats as the Tigers overcame a four-run deficit to defeat Little Rock 10-6 in the decisive Baton Rouge Regional final, securing a spot in the NCAA Super Regional and keeping their College World Series hopes alive.

Little Rock stunned the home crowd early, jumping out to a 5-1 lead through three innings. But LSU’s offense, led by a flawless 4-for-4 night from designated hitter Ethan Frey—including a home run and four RBIs—ignited a furious comeback. Catcher Luis Hernandez added two solo homers, while first baseman Jared Jones sealed the win with his 20th home run of the season in the ninth inning.

Freshman pitcher Casan Evans provided a critical boost out of the bullpen, striking out over six innings and allowing just one run, helping LSU regain momentum and shut down the Trojans’ bats The Tigers scored six unanswered runs, taking control in the late innings and clinching their 27th NCAA Regional title.

Little Rock’s magical postseason run comes to an end, but not before pushing LSU to the limit and earning respect with their performance. Angel Cano, who was named the Baton Rouge Regional’s Most Outstanding Player, led the Trojans throughout the tournament.

With the win, LSU (46-15) advances to host West Virginia in the Super Regional, a best-of-three series set to begin Saturday at Alex Box Stadium. The winner will punch their ticket to Omaha for the College World Series.
