2025 Drama Desk Awards Winners: Which Show Stole the Spotlight?

The 2025 Drama Desk Awards, hosted at NYU Skirball by Debra Messing and Tituss Burgess, saw Maybe Happy Ending emerge as the biggest winner of the night, claiming six awards including Outstanding Musical and Direction of a Musical for Michael Arden. The show also swept categories for Outstanding Music, Lyrics, and Book (Will Aronson and Hue Park) and Scenic Design of a Musical (Dane Laffrey and George Reeve).

In a highly competitive season, BOOP! The Musical led nominations but took home three wins, highlighted by Jasmine Amy Rogers tying with Audra McDonald (Gypsy) for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical.
