Little Rock, coming off a stunning 10-4 upset of LSU the previous night, jumped out to a quick lead and kept the pressure on with clutch hitting. However, LSU’s offense responded, stringing together key hits and capitalizing on opportunities to regain control in the middle innings.
With this win, LSU improved to 45-16 on the season and captured its 27th NCAA Regional title. The Tigers now advance to face West Virginia in a best-of-three Super Regional series at Alex Box Stadium, starting Saturday. The winner will move on to the College World Series in Omaha.
