Venture X Lounge Access: Big Changes Ahead—Are You Still Eligible?

Travelers with the Capital One Venture X credit card have enjoyed generous airport lounge access, but major updates are on the horizon that will affect how cardholders—and their guests—can use this popular perk.

Currently, Venture X cardholders receive unlimited complimentary access to over,300 airport lounges worldwide, including Capital One Lounges and the Priority Pass network, after enrolling in Priority Pass. Cardholders can bring up to two guests into Capital One Lounges or Priority Pass lounges at no extra cost, making it a top choice for frequent flyers seeking comfort and convenience.

However, starting February, 2026, these benefits will change significantly. Authorized users will lose their complimentary lounge access unless the primary cardholder pays a $125 annual fee per additional user. Furthermore, bringing guests to Capital One Lounges or Landings will require the primary cardholder to meet a $75,000 annual spending threshold; otherwise, guests will be charged a fee per visit. Complimentary guest access to Priority Pass lounges will also end, with a $35 fee per guest per visit for those who do not meet the spending requirement.

Despite these changes, primary Venture X cardholders will continue to enjoy complimentary entry to Capital One Lounges and Priority Pass lounges for themselves, maintaining a valuable travel benefit for solo travelers or those willing to pay for guest privileges.

If you rely on Venture X lounge access for family or group travel, be sure to review the new rules and consider how they may impact your airport experience in the coming years.
