A powerful line of severe thunderstorms swept through Milwaukee and Madison early Friday, prompting urgent warnings and watches across southeastern Wisconsin. The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Dodge, Jefferson, and Waukesha counties, with storms moving east at up to mph and producing hail as large as baseballs and wind gusts reaching mph.
