The 2025 DC Pride Parade, part of WorldPride’s global celebration, drew thousands to the streets of Washington, DC on Saturday, June. The nearly two-mile parade kicked off at p.m. from 14th and T Streets NW, winding through Logan Circle and Thomas Circle before transforming Pennsylvania Avenue into a vibrant corridor of color and music, ending near the Navy Memorial.
This year’s parade featured elaborate floats, community groups, and grand marshals, with some couples even exchanging vows atop the moving floats. The event’s theme, “The Fabric of Freedom,” highlighted diversity and the ongoing fight for LGBTQ+ rights Grandstand seating was available near Freedom Plaza, while VIP viewing areas at Franklin Park offered premium views for ticket holders.
Road closures and parking restrictions were in effect throughout downtown, with public transit and rideshare options highly recommended due to large crowds and intermittent street closures The celebration continued after the parade with a massive street festival and a headline concert by Cynthia Erivo, while Sunday saw a rally and march for LGBTQ+ rights at the Lincoln Memorial.
