The Milwaukee Bucks opened their playoff series with a disappointing 117-9 defeat to the Indiana Pacers, despite a monster performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who dropped points and grabbed rebounds. The Pacers seized control early and never looked back, taking a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Pascal Siakam led Indiana with points on an efficient 10-of-1 shooting, adding seven rebounds and two assists. Myles Turner contributed points, five rebounds, and four blocks, while Andrew Nembhard chipped in points and five assists. Tyrese Haliburton orchestrated the offense with a double-double of points and assists.
For Milwaukee, the supporting cast struggled. Brook Lopez managed points and rebounds, while Ryan Rollins added points. The Bucks’ offense sputtered outside of Antetokounmpo, and the team shot just 7-of-2 from three-point range.
The last regular season clash between these teams saw the Bucks edge out the Pacers 126-11, but Game of the playoffs told a different story as Indiana’s defense and balanced attack proved too much.
Looking ahead, the Denver Nuggets face the Los Angeles Clippers next, while the Bucks must regroup before Game against the Pacers on Tuesday, April. Will Milwaukee respond, or can Indiana keep rolling?
