Manchester United 0-3 loss to Bournemouth extends eight‑match winless run

Manchester United lost 3-0 to Bournemouth on Sunday 25 October 2026 at Old Trafford in a Premier League match.

Bournemouth were managed by Marco Rose.

The defeat followed a 4-1 loss to Como four days earlier in the Champions League.

Coach Michael Carrick left captain Bruno Fernandes on the bench for the entire encounter.

After the match Carrick said he does not know what the club will decide, that he continues his work as usual and wants to act for the good of the club.

Supporters applauded Carrick as he left the field, and no official decision on his future has been announced.

United are in 16th place after eight matchdays, one point ahead of the first relegation spots Nottingham and Coventry.

Since 13 October the club has recorded three defeats and a draw.

The loss marks the eighth match without a win across all competitions, the longest winless stretch since the 2015‑2016 season under Louis van Gaal, during which the Red Devils were beaten five times.

United’s next Premier League fixtures are against Chelsea, Aston Villa and Liverpool.
