Josh Jacobs Returns for Packers in Week 7 Loss to Lions
Josh Jacobs activated, makes season debut in Packers’ Week 7 loss
Green Bay activated running back Josh Jacobs from the Commissioner's Exempt List on Saturday, moving him to the 53‑man roster ahead of the Sunday matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Jacobs, a Pro Bowl running back, had missed the first six games of the 2026 season while the league investigated allegations of domestic abuse.
He made his season debut at Ford Field on Sunday, catching a pass from quarterback Jordan Love at the 25‑yard line and sprinting down the left sideline for a touchdown that gave Green Bay a 14‑10 lead.
In the game, Jacobs recorded 11 carries for 36 yards, five receptions for 55 yards, and the touchdown, as the Packers fell 20‑17.
Earlier in the year, Jacobs was charged with two misdemeanors stemming from a dispute with his ex‑girlfriend and entered a non‑contest plea agreement for a misdemeanor battery charge.
