Breece Hall ruled inactive as Jets host Dolphins in Week 7
The New York Jets will open Week 7 at MetLife Stadium against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Oct. 25.
The Jets entered the game at 2-4 while the Dolphins were winless.
Star running back Breece Hall was listed as inactive, marking his fourth consecutive game missed due to a quad strain.
Hall sustained the quadriceps strain in the fourth quarter of the Jets’ Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions and has not been a full participant in practice all week.
NFL insiders reported Hall is unlikely to suit up for the Dolphins matchup.
Backup running back Braelon Allen will start at RB1 for the Jets.
Allen carried the ball 17 times for 78 yards and added two receptions for 26 yards against the New England Patriots last week, and 24 times for 116 yards and a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns the week before.
Through six games this season Allen has accumulated 314 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 74 carries, averaging 4.2 yards per attempt, and has added nine receptions for 45 yards.
Other Jets inactives for the game include offensive linemen Max Mitchell and Dylan Parham, defensive lineman Jack Heflin, running back Kene Nwangwu, edge rusher Joseph Ossai, and cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr.
