Giants Release Veteran Running Back Najee Harris After Limited Production

The New York Giants released veteran running back Najee Harris on Tuesday morning.

The release followed his four carries for two yards in the Giants’ 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Harris had been signed by the Giants in August to add physicality to the running game.

Over five games with New York, he recorded 31 carries for 99 yards.

Head coach John Harbaugh has now released three prominent veterans since the initial 53‑man roster was announced, the other two being Odell Beckham Jr. and Darius Slayton.
