Eagles Turn to Backup QB Tanner McKee in Monday Night Clash vs. Cowboys

Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts was ruled out for the season after blood clots were discovered in his lungs, prompting the Eagles to start backup Tanner McKee for their Monday night game against the Dallas Cowboys.

McKee, who has spent most of his two seasons with Philadelphia as a backup, will lead the Eagles’ offense in the matchup at Lincoln Financial Field.

Offensive coordinator Sean Mannion said McKee has shown readiness in practice ahead of the game.

The Cowboys entered the contest with a 2‑4 record, matching the Eagles’ 2‑4 standing in the NFC East.

Dallas defeated Philadelphia 38‑21, extending the Eagles’ losing streak to five games.
