Houston Dynamo defeated Seattle Sounders 1-0 on Wednesday night, marking the Dynamo’s first road win over Seattle.

Lucas Halter scored the lone goal in the 26th minute after receiving a corner kick from Mateusz Bogusz and heading the ball into the net, his first goal in his 20th MLS appearance.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond recorded six saves, earning his 13th clean sheet of the season, tied for second‑most in the league.

Houston entered the match with a 14-9-9 record and an all‑time 0-13-4 record in Seattle, having not earned a point there since 2016. The victory moved the Dynamo into fourth place in the Western Conference, where the top four teams secure home‑field advantage in the best‑of‑3 first round.

Seattle’s goalkeeper Andrew Thomas made no saves, leaving his record at 11-11-10 and dropping Seattle to eighth in the West, two points ahead of 10th‑place Los Angeles Galaxy. The top nine clubs in each conference advance to the postseason.

Referee Lorenzo Hernandez oversaw the match, assisted by Jeremy Hanson, Rhett Hammil and David Barrie.
