Brentford Beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in Premier League Clash

Brentford secured a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in a Premier League match at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The win marked Brentford's 100th Premier League game at the venue, allowing the team to bounce back following their midweek Carabao Cup exit against Sunderland.

Nikola Milenkovic opened the scoring in the 30th minute with an own goal, deflecting a low cross from Dango Ouattara past keeper Matz Sels. Brentford's Mathias Jensen struck the crossbar with a free kick in the 36th minute. Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner made double substitutions at halftime, replacing Ola Aina with Daniel Muñoz and Xaver Schlager with Ryan Yates.

Igor Thiago sealed the victory in the 76th minute, turning home a cross from substitute Jaidon Anthony after a counter-attack. It was Thiago's second goal in as many matches. Nottingham Forest, who set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation with Liam Delap spearheading the attack, created several opportunities but lacked a cutting edge in the final third. Xaver Schlager was substituted at the break after a poor performance, and the visitors offered little to respond to Brentford's lead.
