Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh Open ACC Clash at Acrisure Stadium on Halloween Night
Georgia Tech vs. Pittsburgh at Acrisure Stadium
On Monday night, Oct. 31, 2026, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets traveled to Pittsburgh to play the Panthers at Acrisure Stadium in a primetime Halloween matchup.
Georgia Tech won the coin toss and chose to defer, giving Pitt the opening possession. The Panthers began with a rushing attack, with Damon Ferguson gaining seven yards on the first play and 26 yards on the third snap. A subsequent toss play lost four yards, and the Panthers were unable to recover.
Pittsburgh’s punt, kicked by Gabe Russo, pinned Georgia Tech at its own three-yard line. The Yellow Jackets went three-and-out, leading to a short punt that placed Pitt at the Georgia Tech 31-yard line.
On the ensuing drive, Malik Knight ran a route and was targeted by Holden Geriner for a 28-yard pass, but a hands‑to‑the‑face penalty on center Ryan Carretta (the third flag of the drive) pushed the Panthers back, ending the scoring opportunity.
Pittsburgh settled for a 45‑yard field goal by Antonio Chadha. Georgia Tech responded with a 12‑yard pass to earn a first down, but Pitt’s defense forced another punt.
After the punt, the Panthers started at their own 14-yard line, achieving a first down when Geriner connected with Carson Kent for 13 yards on third‑and‑9. Two plays later, Geriner and Blue Hicks completed a 12‑yard pass, moving the ball further downfield.
