The game, which took place on November 26, 2025, ended with a final score of 3-1 in favor of the Bruins. This victory marked a significant milestone for the Bruins, who closed their four-game road trip on a high note.

The Bruins' success was largely attributed to the stellar performances of Alex Steeves and Jeremy Swayman. Alex Steeves scored twice, proving to be a pivotal player throughout the match. His first goal tied the score 1-1 in the second period, setting the stage for the Bruins' comeback. Steeves' second goal, which came later in the game, secured the Bruins' lead and ultimately sealed their victory. Jeremy Swayman, the Bruins' goaltender, was equally impressive, making 44 saves, 18 of which were crucial in the third period. The Islanders, however, started strong with a goal just 4:41 into the game, scored by Mat Barzal. This early lead briefly gave the Islanders the upper hand, but the Bruins' relentless effort and strategic plays quickly turned the tide. The Islanders' offense, though initially promising, was stymied by Swayman's defensive prowess.
