After a 15-year hiatus, “King of the Hill” is making its highly anticipated comeback with a 10-episode revival premiering August on Hulu. The new season, officially the show’s 14th, picks up years after the original finale, with Hank and Peggy Hill returning to a dramatically changed Arlen, Texas, following their time working in Saudi Arabia to build their retirement savings.
Fans will find Bobby Hill all grown up and thriving as a chef in Dallas, while Hank and Peggy try to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. The opening credits, already released by Hulu, showcase a time-lapse of the Hill family’s journey, including their departure, the pandemic, and their eventual return to Arlen.
Original creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels are back as executive producers, and much of the original voice cast returns—including Toby Huss. Notably, Johnny Hardwick, who voiced Dale, recorded some lines before his passing, with Huss stepping in to complete the role for the season.
The revival promises a blend of nostalgia and fresh storylines, exploring how the Hills and their friends adapt to a new era while retaining the show’s signature humor and heart.
