Recently, Wilson has been making headlines for his transition to a new role, which has left many wondering if he has officially hung up his cleats.

Wilson, who has been a cornerstone of several NFL teams, notably the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, has had a tumultuous season with the New York Giants. His demotion to a backup role has raised eyebrows and fueled discussions about his potential departure from the sport. However, Wilson’s recent announcement of a new career move has added another layer to this narrative.

During Week 14, the New York Giants were on a bye, but Wilson was not idle. He made a significant announcement that he would be taking on a new role as a guest analyst on CBS Sports' "NFL Today" show. This move has been interpreted by many as a hint at his post-football career and a possible sign that he is transitioning into a new phase of his professional life.

Wilson’s decision to join CBS Sports as a guest analyst has been seen by some as a stepping stone towards a potential retirement from playing football. His appearance on "NFL Today" during the Giants' bye week has fueled speculation that he may be preparing to retire and focus more on broadcasting.

While there is no official confirmation of his retirement, the current indications point towards a significant shift in his professional focus. Wilson's decision to take on this new role while still under contract with the Giants suggests that he might be looking to explore opportunities outside of the playing field.

Whether Wilson will continue to play or transition fully into broadcasting remains to be seen.
