The 2025 College Football Bowl season is shaping up to be an exciting one, with the Pop-Tarts Bowl taking center stage. This year, No. 12 BYU will face No. 22 Georgia Tech in a highly anticipated matchup. The game is set to take place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, December 27, at 3:30 p.m. ET. The contest will be broadcast nationally on ABC, promising a thrilling showdown for college football fans.

BYU, which finished the regular season with an impressive 11-2 record, is coming off a strong performance. The Cougars' season culminated in a loss to Texas Tech in the Big 12 Championship Game, but they secured a spot in the final CFP rankings at No. 12. This ranking underscores their prowess and sets the stage for a challenging matchup against Georgia Tech. The Cougars have a lot to prove in this bowl game, especially after their disappointing loss in the championship.

On the other side of the field, Georgia Tech had a respectable 9-3 season. The Yellow Jackets finished in a five-way tie for second place in the ACC. However, due to tiebreaker rules, they missed out on the conference championship game. Their 9-3 record is a testament to their resilience, and they will be looking to carry that momentum into the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Georgia Tech's performance in the regular season has prepared them well for the upcoming challenge against BYU.

The selection of Georgia Tech as BYU's opponent came after some controversy. Initially, Notre Dame was rumored to be the likely opponent for the Cougars. However, the Fighting Irish surprisingly opted out of the bowl game, paving the way for Georgia Tech to take their place. This turn of events added an extra layer of intrigue to the matchup, as both teams now have a lot riding on this bowl game.

The Pop-Tarts Bowl has quickly become one of the most interesting events in the college football calendar. With a rich history and a growing fan base, the bowl game is set to deliver an exciting and competitive matchup. Fans can expect a high-stakes game with both teams eager to leave their mark on the season.
