Department Q on Netflix: The Cast Lineup You Didn’t See Coming

Netflix’s new crime thriller series "Department Q" is making waves with its gripping cold case investigations and an ensemble cast that brings fresh intensity to the genre. Led by Matthew Goode as the emotionally scarred Detective Chief Inspector Carl Morck, the show follows Morck’s return to duty in Edinburgh after a traumatic shooting, where he’s tasked with heading a newly formed cold case unit.

Joining Goode is Chloe Pirrie as Merritt Lingard, a driven prosecutor whose ambitions often clash with Morck’s methods. Jamie Sives plays Detective Chief Inspector James Hardy, while Mark Bonnar steps in as Stephen Burns. Alexej Manvelov brings depth as Akram Salim, a Syrian cop who finds a new home in the department. Leah Byrne appears as Rose, a cadet eager to prove herself after a personal crisis, and Kelly Macdonald portrays Dr. Rachel Irving, the police therapist guiding Morck through his recovery.
