Romain Gavras' 'Sacrifice' Starring Chris Evans and Anya Taylor‑Joy Streams on Netflix

Sacrifice, a new feature film directed by Romain Gavras, began streaming on Netflix on 16 October 2026.

The cast includes Chris Evans as the disgraced actor Mike Tyler, Anya Taylor‑Joy as the cult leader, Salma Hayek and Vincent Cassel.

The story follows Mike Tyler, a fading Hollywood star, who is taken hostage at a charity gala on a Greek island by a sect that believes a human sacrifice in a volcano can prevent an apocalypse.

The film premiered in an advance screening at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 before its Netflix release.

No sequel or spin‑off has been announced by Netflix or the studio.
