Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Hold First Joint UK Appearance in Nottingham on Oct. 15, 2026
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first joint appearance in the United Kingdom on October 15, 2026, in Nottingham.
The couple met local residents and volunteers from several charitable organizations during the visit.
The day included three charitable stops: the Community Recording Studio, the Himmah association, and Epic Partners, which focuses on sport and youth mentorship.
Although the event was not conducted on behalf of the monarchy, observers noted that the security cordon, cameras, crowd presence and bouquets of flowers gave it the appearance of a royal engagement.
Emily Nash of Hello! described the itinerary as “a new start” that “looked in every way like a royal engagement,” while emphasizing that it was technically not an official royal event.
Beth Herlihy accompanied the Sussexes; she previously served as an event manager for the Royal Foundation from 2016 until the Sussexes stepped down as working royals in 2020.
The visit followed the couple’s return to the United Kingdom in late August 2026.
