Hornets Rule Out Kon Knueppel for Oct. 24 Game vs. Heat Due to Hamstring Strain

Injury Update

Charlotte announced that swingman Kon Knueppel (7) is out for the October 24 home game against the Miami Heat, listing a left hamstring strain on the NBA’s official injury report.

The designation lists him as “out,” not “questionable” or “doubtful,” confirming he will not be available for the contest.

This ruling extends Knueppel’s absence to a third consecutive regular‑season game; he also missed the season opener against the Brooklyn Nets and Friday’s matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.

Game Context

The Hornets host the Heat at the Spectrum Center on Saturday night, with both teams seeking a win after each posted a 1‑1 (Hornets) and 0‑2 (Heat) record.

Charlotte entered the game after a 128‑81 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, while Miami came off a 128‑111 defeat to the Detroit Pistons.

Miami’s injury report lists only forward Pelle Larsson as probable despite a left finger sprain, whereas Charlotte’s report lists five players, including Knueppel and guard Coby White.

Roster Impact

With Knueppel ruled out, the Hornets will continue without him for the third straight contest, while the Heat will field a lineup largely unchanged by injuries.
