Thunder Defeat Clippers as Jalen Williams Leaves Game with Leg Injury
Thunder forward Jalen Williams was removed on a stretcher late in the fourth quarter after sustaining a serious lower‑leg injury.
Williams attempted a dunk, was sandwiched in mid‑air by Kris Dunn and Derrick Jones Jr., and landed with his left leg trapped beneath his body, appearing to break in an abnormal direction.
Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said, "We're not doing great. That's tough on the guys," and noted that no specifics on the injury were available.
During the post‑game press conference, Shai Gilgeous‑Alexander pulled his jersey over his face while Williams' leg was placed in an air cast before being loaded onto a stretcher.
Williams gave the crowd a thumbs‑up as he was wheeled off, and there is a strong possibility he will miss the remainder of the season.
