Netflix releases "Celui qui s’appelait Matthew Perry" documentary; co‑stars decline participation
Netflix made the three‑episode documentary Celui qui s’appelait Matthew Perry available on Tuesday, 27 October 2026.
The series chronicles the life of the actor best known for playing Chandler Bing, featuring testimony from his family, long‑time friends and several colleagues who worked with him.
According to director Mary Robertson, the five former Friends co‑stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer were approached to appear in the documentary but chose not to testify on camera.
« Nous savons que le casting de Friends aime Matthew et qu’ils vivent leur deuil à leur manière », a déclaré Robertson à Netflix.
Robertson added that the actors remain “very close” to Matthew Perry and continue to mourn three years after his disappearance.
