Sean Payton Notches 200th Win as Broncos Top Chiefs, Become AFC West Favorites
On Sunday, the Denver Broncos defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.
The victory gave Sean Payton his 200th career win, making him the 12th coach to reach that mark and the sixth‑fastest to do so in 320 games.
The win moved the Broncos to the position of AFC West betting favorites, with DraftKings listing Denver at -130 and Kansas City at +115.
Jaylen Waddle accounted for more than half of Denver's passing yards in the game, and Payton said he wants to continue using Waddle after his touchdown.
Broncos rookie Jonah Coleman was the team's primary running back during the comeback, finishing with 104 yards and the go‑ahead touchdown, earning rookie‑of‑the‑week consideration.
Despite fans booing the crowd on Sunday, Payton praised the atmosphere, saying “It’s pro sports, but man, it’s a special place.”
Payton delivered a pre‑game speech that he said helped the team, even though a motivational prop did not work as intended.
