Warriors Stun Timberwolves in Game 1-But the Real Shock Came Early

The Golden State Warriors seized a commanding 99-88 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals, but all eyes were on Stephen Curry’s early exit due to a left leg injury. Despite losing their superstar before halftime, the Warriors maintained control, leading by as much as 23 points and never allowing the Timberwolves to close the gap

Jimmy Butler stepped up with 24 points, while Buddy Hield caught fire in the second half, finishing with 22 points and several clutch three-pointers to keep Minnesota at bay The Timberwolves struggled from deep, shooting just 17% from beyond the arc, and star Anthony Edwards had a rough start, missing his first eight shots before rallying for 23 points and 14 rebounds

Rudy Gobert was limited to just 9 points and 11 rebounds, as coach Chris Finch favored Naz Reid’s mobility off the bench. The Warriors’ defense, anchored by Draymond Green, stifled Minnesota’s inside game and set the tone for the series

Fans can catch the next chapter of this tense matchup live on TNT, truTV, and Max Will Curry return, or can the Warriors’ supporting cast continue to deliver? The series is just heating up.
