Madden 26 Cover Reveal: Why Saquon Barkley’s Leap Is Everywhere—But What’s Next?

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has been officially unveiled as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 26, making history as the first Eagle in two decades to earn the honor. Barkley’s selection comes after a record-setting, Super Bowl-winning season that saw him pull off a viral reverse hurdle against the Jacksonville Jaguars—a moment now immortalized on the game’s standard edition cover.

The deluxe edition features Barkley in the Eagles’ home uniform from their Super Bowl LIX triumph, adding to the excitement for fans. Barkley’s performance not only landed him on the cover but also secured his induction as the first member of the Madden 26 ‘99 Club,’ recognizing his elite status in the league.

Madden NFL 26 launches worldwide on August, 2025, across all major platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC. EA Sports has teased major gameplay upgrades, including a complete overhaul of quarterback mechanics and over 500 new animations, promising a more authentic NFL experience.

Pre-orders for the MVP Bundle are now open, offering early access and exclusive content. With Barkley at the forefront and new features on the horizon, Madden 26 is set to be one of the year’s most anticipated sports releases.
