Ethan Hawke returns for season 2 of The Lowdown

Ethan Hawke returns as Lee Raybon in the second season of the neo-noir crime series The Lowdown. The season opens with Raybon, a citizen journalist in Tulsa, receiving an award before accepting a request from a public defender to locate a vanished inmate. The narrative continues to explore the history of murders and cash grabs in the small heartland city, with Raybon declaring that there is no forgiveness until justice is served.

Casting and Production

Creator Sterlin Harjo has discussed the casting of Tommy Lee Jones for the upcoming season. The series is described as a neo-noir crime caper featuring a scrappy citizen journalist. While the show has received critical acclaim, it is not associated with a BBC ranking as the number one best show of the year.
