The Indiana Pacers have made the NBA Finals only twice in their history: first in 2000 and now again in 2025. Despite a storied past and three ABA championships in the early 1970s, the franchise has never captured an NBA title.
Their last NBA Finals appearance came 25 years ago, when Reggie Miller led the Pacers against the Los Angeles Lakers in 2000, ultimately falling in six games to Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant Since joining the NBA in 1976, Indiana has often come close—reaching the Eastern Conference Finals ten times—but has struggled to break through to the league’s biggest stage.
Now, with a new core led by Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam, the Pacers are back in the Finals for the first time since 2000, hoping to finally end their championship drought and make franchise history.
