McRib Expected to Return in Late October and Early November 2026

While McDonald’s has not issued an official announcement, internet sleuths have pieced together clues about the upcoming return of the McRib sandwich.

The website mcriblocator.com indicates the sandwich is currently being offered in Central America, and McDonald’s Guatemala posted Instagram reels featuring the McRib.

The same source projects the U.S. return to occur around November 1, noting that some individual stores may choose not to carry the sandwich.

In Michigan, the sandwich is scheduled to appear in McDonald’s restaurants on October 26, 2026, for a limited time.

The McRib consists of a pork patty made with pork, water, salt, dextrose and rosemary extract, served on a bun with barbecue sauce, pickles and onions.

The sandwich first debuted in the United States in 1981 in the Kansas City area and became nationwide in 1982, returning periodically as a limited‑time item after its removal as a permanent menu item in 2005.

Last year’s return occurred on November 11.
